When there is so much we want to tell our children, words often feel like they are not enough. Then stories are born, creating a world they can step into and feel. This is how The Lukia Stories began.
Lukia was born from a desire to honour sensitivity, imagination, and emotional honesty. Her stories are quiet and inward, rooted in everyday moments, where children can recognize themselves. They invite adults to slow down and meet them there.
Born in Ukraine, I now live in Canada with my family. When I am not writing, I read, reflect, and learn. My daughter often peeks through my pages with curiosity—moments that inspire me even more.
Writing in a language that is not my first has taught me to listen closely, choose words through feeling, and leave space when they are still too shy.
